Rocky’s Miatomotive Goodwin Racing Mazda Miata Tech Days

Goodwin Racing Miata Tech Day

A couple of times a year Rocky’s Miatomotive and Goodwin Racing host Mazda Miata Tech Days in sunny San Diego California.

Miata Tech Days are essentially this: Goodwin Racing’s shop is open for aftermarktet parts for your Miata and Rocky’s Miatomotive workshop is open to allow you to install those parts yourself. Rocky is there, along with Brian Goodwin if you need any help or advice.

Modding your NC Miata and installing a set of Ohlins? You can book time on one of Rocky’s lifts to do the installation yourself. Your NA Miata needs new differential fluid or an oil change? Well, it’s a lot more fun to do it while standing up straight under the car than on jack stands in your garage.

Rocky’s Miatomotive / Goodwin Racing Miata tech days are usually attended by a good number of members of the San Diego Miata Club and other local MX-5 enthusiasts. You get folks that use their Miatas as daily-drivers, people that drive them only on weekends for pleasure, plus those that drive them on the track or for autocross. Yep, the entire gamut.

Apart from the tech day work on cars Rocky’s provides some very cool raffle prizes. Brian goes from Miata-work to flipping burgers for guests. All good fun with a bunch of friendly folks.

It’s good to just check it out, see what others are working on, check out other’s Miatas and maybe plan ahead for future mods.
