This is what you shoot when your originally planned photoshoot does not work out. I was supposed to be shooting the cars in the local club SDCE on the way to Symbolic Motors. However, they forgot they weren’t supposed to drive so fast. Next thing you know, this stunning Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 comes howling by. Perfect.
This is what happens when you’re lying on the ground to shoot a Corvette Z06 C6 as low as you can go. Panning the camera while lying on the ground on your chest is not an easy task. That said, a few busts later and I had this shot. Not complaining.
One rather special Lambo, a very simple setting and nice diffused light – perfect for a clean hard-parked shot. This is a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale. That’s a mouthful, but special car like this deserves a very unique name.
This is the original RallyWays car, a 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata. This photo was shot right after Cbad Cars one Saturday morning after some very humid days, hence the painteresque skies. Yes, this is not the typical Southern California sky, but I can assure you there was no sky-replacement in Photoshop.
The Nissan GT-R R35 is a car that looks better from the back. It’s like Nissan said, “whatever, nobody will ever see the front anyway.” Then they only styled the back and forgot about the nose. So at Speed, a rolling shot from the back is the way to go with this one.
Here we have a red unicorn without a wing. I just happened to have my camera with me and sort of ready to go. This rolling shot of a wingless Lamborghini Countach is one of those things you might only get one chance in a lifetime to shoot. Classic case of being at the right place at the right time.
